-Brief Background: Tseng grew up in a rigidly traditional household within Wutai. He was a disciplined and academic young man, who was also proficient in martial arts. A part of him always longed to explore the rest of the world, but it was his duty as the first born son to stay around and live up to his family's expectations. Overall, he made his parents proud, and his younger brother looked up to him. Life went well, until he was seventeen years old and fell in love with a young woman named Minako. They rushed into an engagement, and when they announced this to their families, they learned that marriages had been arranged for them with other people.

Tseng tried to resolve the matter diplomatically, but was told that arranged marriages were tradition, and couldn't be backed out of. This was the point where the near-perfect son of the Arisugawa family turned his back on Wutaian tradition, and left home. During
his travels, he discovered the rapidly developing Shinra company, and applied for a job within the Public Maintenance department.

Two years later, he was approached to be a member of the newly formed group called the Turks when a couple of his superiors happened to catch him working out in the company's gym and pounding the crap out of a punching bag. They had already seen that he was
capable of being professional and efficient, but they had no idea that he possesed that kind of fighting ability. He remained a Turk, gradually advancing to the position of Commander, where he's remained. A few people wondered why he never tried to go for a higher position within the company, especially after Rufus became the President, but the fact was, he had grown attached to his subordinates and preferred his present job over any other he could have.

-Skills: Tseng is a skillful martial artist, and is capable of using all kinds of weaponry, be it traditional, or modern. He has good judgement and a fair amount of leadership skill, and is a fairly
perceptive person in general.

-Occupation [if any]: Turks commander
-Weapon(s)[if any]: Tseng is trained in a variety of weapons, and is skilled enough with hand to hand combat to be considered a weapon himself. However, he's still rather partial to some of the classic
Wutaian weapons, like tonfa and sai.

Third person writing sample:

All day, Tseng had buried himself in the paperwork that most people, especially Turks, avoided as though it was a highly poisonous substance. It kept his mind off of the date he'd circled in his private organizer, not like he would have forgotten it anyhow. He let himself work through the entire pile, until there was not a single piece of paperwork left to complete.

Even then, he still looked for additional paperwork before mentally reprimanding himself.

He reached for his phone, the compact little device suddenly feeling as though it weighed two hundred pounds. Still, he pressed onwards. It was one phone call. Albeit, to someone who was rarely happy to hear from him, due to an offense that was more than twenty years old. Despite that, obligation drove him to continue.

"Hello?"

"Happy birthday, Baki."

"Why do you bother calling, Tseng?"

"I can't offer my best wishes to my younger brother on his birthday?"

"...thanks for calling, Tseng," said Baki after a long pause and a sigh. "I don't know why you still try, but I guess I can't help but be glad to hear from you once in a while."

"Give my regards to your wife and children," said Tseng.

"Would you like me to pass on a message to Father and Mother, too?" asked Baki.

"No, I'll call them myself."

"Even though they'll just--oh, forget it. You're Tseng. If you say you're going to do it, you'll do it no matter what." There was a bit of amusement and affection there this time, more than last time he had called. Slowly, but surely, he was repairing his family bonds with at least one person, however strained they were.

"Take care, Baki," said Tseng, a faint smile on his face when he hung the phone up.

You know Tseng is the leader of the Turks team 2, right? He wants to teach the newbies how to be good Turks the right way. ^_~

Approved! Yaaay. It's so HARD to get a good Tseng or a Tseng at all.
